Maybe you&#8217;ve put your job search on hold,\nwhether out of an abundance of caution or because not much is happening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And maybe you now have time on your hands. If so, cut it out!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although job boards do serve\na purpose, I hesitate suggesting you use them at all. In my experience, too\nmany executive job seekers get sucked in once there, spending way too much time\nresponding to job postings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They\u2019re just not very good at\nhelping people land good-fit jobs for several reasons, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Jobs posted may not be legitimate openings. <\/li><li>Job descriptions may not truly represent the job.<\/li><li>Even if jobs are no longer open, they may still linger on the job board.<\/li><li>You may not be able to delete your resume from their database once you land a job.
