Resume targeting may be the last thing on your mind . . . or it may never have occurred to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you think you don&#8217;t need executive resume targeting, I want to set you straight, and help you get on the right path to <a href=\"https:\/\/executivecareerbrand.com\/personal-branding-resume-or-job-search-targeting-which-comes-first\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"landing a great-fit new gig (opens in a new tab)\">landing a great-fit new gig<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s start with what&#8217;s probably driving your thinking:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong style=\"font-size: 1.17em; line-height: 1.5em;\">\u201cFirst things first. I\u2019ve got to update my resume. I don&#8217;t want to limit my possibilities by targeting or narrowing my search.\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Today\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/executivecareerbrand.com\/5-things-you-probably-dont-know-about-executive-resumes-and-job-search\/\">job search<\/a> is a personal marketing campaign.
